Half Moon Rat Terriers

Companion or Performance.... OUR DOGS JUST DO IT!

"Boogie"
(May 2004 - July 2009)

In Loving Memory of our sweet Boogie.. He dedicated his life to making others smile and he was taken from us much too early...

"May you suffer no more and chase squirrels to your delight!"

Aside from being a beloved family pet, Boogie was an eager Therapy Dog, so pleased to don his vest and go meet the people.  We spent some time visiting and brightening the days of the elderly and ill but it was his true calling to put smiles on the faces of children.  Boogie and I visited weekly at the county library for the reading program "Paws for Reading".   We started the program here at our local library and were just starting to get a regular following.  Boogie is sadly missed but it is my personal hope that I will continue therapy work with the aspiration to encourage others to certify their dogs and help serve our rural community.

"Serving others while sharing my love of dogs is my therapy"

For information about therapy dogs or if you are interested in testing a dog for therapy work please visit THE BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL THERAPY DOGS, INC.  There is a self test on the website to help you see if your dog might be a candidate for certification testing.

"Buddy"
(1999 - Nov 2009)

Buddy came to us when he was an adult.. We fostered and then later adopted him into our home.  Buddy had been severely abused and he came to us a skinny 41lbs on 60lb frame.  It took over a year for him to allow Steve to pet him but he bonded well to me and greeted other women gladly.  We had Buddy for many years and unfortunately when he had reached his best at overcoming his abusive past he began acting unpredictably and biting and barking aggressively at our daughter and other dogs.  It was determined that he had become senile and we had to regretably have him euthanized.  Buddy lived the majority of his life happy, safe and well loved and we will miss him.

MOCCA

Mocca was such sweet boy that belonged to my mom and dad.  He was a tiny dog, just under 3 lbs, and he lived a long time life but died suddenly after having a seizure.  How such a little bitty dog can leave such a huge hole in our lives is a tribute to his great little personality.
