BEWARE.. treats can kill
RAWHIDE chews of any kind should not be given as toys/treats or they should at least be limited and always given when you can observe. This material once ingested can cause bloating in the stomach. Larger pieces can put your pet at risk of an intestinal blockage. For active chewers I can recommend from experience.. Chew Hooves, deer antler cuttings or Kongs with treats inside. I also use those large hollow white bones and spread a bit of peanut butter inside... this is a favorite in our home and in the summer months we freeze them to provide a cool treat to work over.

| I just discovered through a news article that a dog died from chewing on a piece from a Sago Palm Tree. I am not sure what parts of this plant is dangerous - Just want you to be aware of this in case you (like myself) have a Sago Palm in your yard. |
